Windsurfing: Alton Water Wind Direction: se Wind Stength: 10/25 Surf / Sea State: flatish Air Temperature: 7 Sea Temperature: 2 Weather: cloudy and rain :( Max Speed: 28.45 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 2.69 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
What a complete waste of time !!! :( it was supposed the blow a gale so the
only real option this time of year is our local puddle - Alton Water -
remind me never to go there again - I say that after every time I go !!! I
got there at 10:30 and Neil and Lee Hurrell had already rigged 6.2 and 5.8
but because the wind was cross off and we were sheltered by the club house
it didn't seem very windy. I wasn't going to bother but Neil talked me into
it. I went for 6.4 and the zantos and by the time I had rigged it had
started to rain, just to make the day perfect. You had to wobble off the
beach and head for the far bank hoping you hit a gust and got planning and
trying not to fall in the 2 degree water :( I had a few runs sailing broad
put this is a bad direction here and you could only get going in short
bursts :( It was raining nicely now and my hands were could so returned to
the van - diesel heater on and lunch and then couldn't be bothered to try
again so packed up - The point of winter is
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
